Anna Ziliotto

Anna Ziliotto (PhD in Anthropological Sciences at the University of Turin), Honorary Judge at the Court of Appeal, Juvenile section, in Venice is the Database Curator at CULTEXP.  She is also the Head of CULTEXP Academic Training at TECNOSIA OÜ and, with her affiliation at Ca’ Foscari University she is the Vice-Chair of K-PERITIACOST Action based at the  Royal Anthropological Institute of Great Britain and Ireland
 

Anna Ziliotto is a cultural anthropologist with a particular focus on crime and law, traumatic death, suicidology, and behavioral sciences. Her expertise in forensic anthropology, gained through her experience as an Honorary Judge in Italy has served as the foundation for a more systematic approach to cultural expertise within EURO-EXPERT and CULTEXP.

Within CULTEXP, Anna Ziliotto oversees the management and preparation of data sets for IT and AI developments. She collaborates closely with the Principal Investigator, data consultants, and IT and AI engineers to coordinate the workflows of CULTEXP.  

Anna Ziliotto is passionate about discovering innovative solutions for complex problem-solving, particularly in streamlining access to diverse datasets on a unified platform. Her goal is to facilitate seamless access to a variety of datasets, enhancing efficiency in research and analysis processes.

Anna Ziliotto’s published works center on several key themes. These include the anthropology of crime and criminalisation, policy-making aimed at promoting inclusive language, and the application of socio-anthropological skills for conflict resolution within both Italian law courts and the broader Mediterranean context. Her research contributes valuable insights to these areas, addressing the intersection of anthropology, policy, and conflict resolution in diverse cultural settings including also training and policy making.
