Afef Hagi has assisted the PI for the qualitative data-collection in Italy. Born in Tunis, Afef Hagi continued her studies in psychology at the University of Paris 8 Vincennes (France), and a doctorate in research methodology for socio-educational services at the University of Florence (Italy). Since 2005, as director of international cooperation at the Association Pontes Ricerche e Interventi, she coordinates projects in the fields of health, migration, education and local policies. Combining research activity and interventions in the field, she is the author of books and scientific articles on various subjects including the role of the diaspora in the process of democratic transition in Tunisia, transnational citizenship, cultural diversity and contemporary migratory dynamics.
