Tommaso Sbriccoli is responsible for the qualitative data collection in Italy. He is a social and legal anthropologist based at the University of Siena and at the University of Modena. He is also affiliated to the University College London (UCL). Drawing on research conducted in India and Italy, he has written on kinship, law, pastoralism, communal and political violence, migration and asylum. His recent work has focussed on infrastructures, cultural theory, intercultural law and translation theory, and he has published extensively in Italian and International journals and books. As an activist, besides providing legal support to migrants in Italy, he is one of the founders of the cultural association VersoLab and collaborates in various artistic and social projects with asylum seekers and refugees.
